Attic SJ7

Challenge

The attic located in the Saïdia neighborhood of Valencia was going to be Ernesto’s first personal project. It’s a space where he plans to renovate a residential building’s neglected porter’s lodge, which has been unused for about 45 years. The aim is to create a home where our client and his pet, Newton, can be the focal point.

Strategy

For this purpose, given its geometry and reduced dimensions, we divided the house into two totally differentiated strips according to the activities that can be developed in them. On the one hand, the service rooms and on the other hand, the served rooms. In addition, we look for timeless and multipurpose spaces with a chromatic range that oscillates between the warmth of wood, the freshness of occasional touches of color in the furniture, and the neutrality of white.

Solution

Therefore, we are committed to an open design where the furniture itself defines the different areas and the maximum use of hidden storage in all areas of it.

All this makes this small residence a perfect combination of functionality and comfort.
